Names after the close
Terms used in NineRadar’s scans
These are the words NineRadar uses after the close. They name structures. They are not buy, sell, add, or cut instructions.
- Low-9
- Nine consecutive closes below the close four bars earlier. Numbers plot under the candle. Not a buy order.
- High-9
- Nine consecutive closes above the close four bars earlier. Numbers plot above the candle. Not a sell order.
- 13
- A later count after a finished 9. Completes less often. The 13th qualifying countdown bar must reach countdown bar 8’s close, or the count stays at 12 and can plot +. Equal passes: a low at or below that close, a high at or above it. That 8 is the eighth qualifying countdown bar, not setup bar 8. On Today, that 13 list is Pro.
- Almost
- On the market list, Almost shows unfinished 8 only. On Watchlist, Almost is unfinished 7 or 8. Count 8 is not a finished 9. If the next close fails the test, 1–8 vanish. The filter does not mean the next bar will finish.
- Perfect
- Bar 8 or bar 9 is more extreme than bars 6 and 7. A qualifier on a finished 9, not a second trade signal. The Perfect mark in the iOS app is Pro.
- TDST
- A reference price from the setup. A break can weaken or cancel an unfinished 13. The TDST lines on the iOS chart are Pro.
- Recycle
- Another consecutive nine after a setup. It can cancel an unfinished 13.
- Closed pair
- The default replay compares a finished 9 with the close 10 bars later. A low trial counts as up when that close is higher. A high trial counts as up when it is lower. Choosing 0 bars waits for the next opposite 9. Pending trials stay out of the percentage. It is a closed-sample price change, not a forecast accuracy rate, and it does not include costs.
- Tape
- The after-close scan list of who finished a 9 on the hot list and your watchlist. The 13 rows on that list are Pro; without Pro the cell is a dash. The English app sometimes calls it the tape. It is not every listing on the exchange, and not a ranking of stocks to buy.

How to read this list
DeMark texts sometimes say “buy setup” and “sell setup.” NineRadar says low-9 and high-9 so the label stays a count. A one-way market can print several 9s and never turn.
FAQ
Is a low-9 a buy setup?
In some DeMark texts, yes, that is the name. NineRadar still treats it as a low-9 count. It does not issue a buy.
What does Perfect add?
It asks whether bar 8 or 9 is more extreme than bars 6 and 7. It does not turn a 9 into an order.
Why do unmatched 9s stay out of the percentage?
The default replay compares a finished 9 with the close 10 bars later. A trial that is still waiting stays out of both the numerator and the denominator. That percentage is not a prediction accuracy rate.
