What must happen before count 8 becomes count 9
Count 8 is one state inside the Almost filter. It is not a finished 9, and the next close is not promised.
Teaching rows, not a market print
- Start: eight closes already below the close four bars earlier. Count is 8, low, not finished.
- Next close still below its own four-back close: count becomes 9, low, finished. Labels can show 1–9.
- Next close equal or above that reference: the unfinished stretch fails. 1–8 are removed. There is no 9.
The market list’s Almost shows unfinished 8 only, so 7 stays off that list. Watchlist Almost is unfinished 7 or 8. This note is about the 8 branch. Count 8 is still unfinished. No clock time is attached, because a clock without a market and a timezone is not a session.
