Lunch is a pause, not the end of the daily bar
These clocks are the app’s session model for a regular China A-share weekday, Asia/Shanghai. This page does not describe a closing auction. The after-close list waits until the app’s settle buffer, 15:08.
What is closed at 12:00
- Open 09:30. Lunch in the app: 11:31–13:00. Continuous trading ends 15:00. Settle buffer until 15:08.
- At 12:00 a 60-minute bar timestamped 11:30 can already be closed. The daily bar is the same bar all day, and it is still open.
- A 13:00 60-minute timestamp is 90 minutes after 11:30, so the app does not join those two into one 120-minute bar. See the 120-minute note for the pairing rule.
Teaching close, one daily bar
The close four bars earlier is 10. These numbers are not a quote. If the still-open daily print at 11:30 is 9, that print would count only if 9 were the close. If the cash close is later 10, 10 compared with 10 is equal, and this implementation resets the count. The morning print was not a finished daily 9.
