Count
A price limit and a completed count are different conditions
A large move and a finished 9 are different tests. These closes are teaching numbers from the current setup rule. They are not a quote, not a limit band, and not an instruction.
A large step is not nine steps
Closes 20, 19, 18, 17, 16, 40. The last close, 40, is far above the previous close, 16. The comparison that can count is 40 versus 19, four bars earlier. That is high count 1. The bar before it, 16 versus 20, is a low count, then that low count resets. The high count is not 9.
A finished high-9 can be small steps
Closes 1 through 13. From the fifth close, each close is above the close four bars earlier, so the high counts run 1 through 9. The last close is only 1 above the previous close. This implementation records a finished high-9. The size of one bar is not the test.
This page does not apply one board’s price-limit rule to every China A-share. If a bar is missing, the scan does not store a zero-price bar and does not invent a close.
