The fund and its holdings use different price series
On the US pages, an ETF is requested like any other US listing: Yahoo adjusted OHLC. This page does not use net asset value, and it does not use a holding’s close as the fund’s close. No holding list is claimed.
Teaching series, one made-up calendar
- Fund closes 1 through 13. High counts run 1 through 9. This implementation records a finished high-9.
- Holding closes 13 down through 1, on the same thirteen labels. Low counts run 1 through 9. This implementation records a finished low-9.
- The labels are the same only so the series are the only difference. A real fund and a real holding can also have different session dates. These are not those names.
A finished count on the fund does not state the holding’s count, and the reverse is also true. The US directory includes names whose labels contain “ETF”. That row is still that listing’s own series. The free watchlist cap of 8 is a cap, not a slot plan.
