Watchlist

Add the correct listing to your watchlist

You already know which names you follow. After the close, Watchlist is that short list with daily structure on it — not a live quote board. You can keep eight names on Free. Pro does not cap the list you add.

What this is for you

  1. Open Watchlist

Second tab. If it is empty, add the names you already follow.

  2. Tap add, then search

Type a code or a name. Local short codes work, as do Yahoo-style codes such as 0700.HK or 600519.SS.

  3. Add, then pin if you check it first

Pin keeps it at the top. Trash takes it off your list; it does not place an order.

  4. Pull to refresh

You get the latest available prices and confirmed daily counts. If some names fail, the last available values stay. Pull again. A failed refresh is not a new close.

  5. Open a row when you need the evidence

That opens the name on daily. From there you can set a note for this timeframe, or replay the same name.

  6. Or star it from the name’s page

The star adds or removes it. Hitting eight on Free opens Pro.

Which listing you just added

Search can match a short name in more than one market. The row you keep is the stored code. These mappings are what the iOS app does with a typed code.

Typed code and the stored listing
You typeStored codeCheck this
700, 0700, or 007000700.HKDisplay can show 00700. It is the same Hong Kong listing.
AAPLAAPLLetters stay a ticker. A same short name in another market is a different row.
600519600519.SSA bare six-digit code is treated as a China A-share: leading 6 or 9 becomes .SS, otherwise .SZ.
000001000001.SZSame six-digit rule. Type .SS or .SZ yourself when you already know the exchange.
005930005930.SZSix digits and no suffix are not Korea. Samsung Electronics on this app is 005930.KS.
005930.KS005930.KSA Yahoo suffix you type is kept, including .KS and .KQ.

What to expect from the list

The eight-name cap is on Watchlist, not on how many charts you may open from Today.

China and Hong Kong daily bars prefer adjusted closes from Tencent, then East Money, then Yahoo. Other markets use Yahoo. The printed last may differ from your broker. Place orders at the broker.

If you sign in with Apple or turn on remote alerts, Watchlist can sync. The on-device journal does not ride along.

FAQ

Why only eight on Free?

Free is a short list after the close. Pro removes the cap on names you add. It still does not scan every listing on the exchange.

I pulled to refresh and the count did not move.

Daily counts wait for a confirmed close. During the session the price can update while the count stays on the last settled bar.

Does pin change notifications?

No. Pin only sorts the list. Alerts follow Watchlist membership and the rules you saved, not pin state.

Can I add a name that is not on the hot list?

Yes. Search and add. Extra names stay on your list and can enter Today (watchlist scope) and pool scans. Today’s market tape is still the hot list, not the whole exchange.
