Keep the regular-session bar separate from after-hours prices
A 17:05 New York print is after the regular session on a normal day. It is not the daily bar this product counts.
One normal day, two clocks
- Example shape, not a dated print: regular open 09:30 America/New_York, regular close 16:00.
- 17:05 America/New_York is 05:05 in Hong Kong the next calendar day while New York is on daylight time, and 06:05 on standard time.
- 16:00 New York is 04:00 Hong Kong next day on daylight time, and 05:00 on standard time.
- NineRadar does not write the after-hours price into the regular daily bar. Another product may. That difference is a data choice, not an automatic error.
A vendor correction of the official close, or a split adjustment, can change history later. An after-hours tick by itself does not.
