The overlay is on the name I opened
A friend forwarded a Futu screenshot: 9 sitting on 0700.HK, very proud. I asked who else finished. Long pause. That was the product difference, and it is not mystical.
I still use Futu. I still use Tongdaxin. I am not loyal to a candle painter. The quote app is the microscope. The after-close tape is the attendance sheet.
What the screenshot cannot answer
- Who else on HK finished a 9 today, after 16:00.
- Whether the US names I actually hold printed, after 16:00 ET.
- Whether a 13 completed, which is rarer, and which Futu may not bother to put on the same badge.
If I only ever watch one symbol, an overlay is enough and I should stop buying tools. I do not only watch one symbol. I also refuse to flip 80 charts at 16:10 like a Victorian clerk.
Futu’s 9 is not wrong when it matches the rule. NineRadar is not “more accurate.” It is a different question: who, after the close. Accuracy theater is how people get talked into a trade.
